A week after it raised Series A funding, online funding and networking platform for startups, LetsVenture has now roped in renowned business tycoon Ratan Tata and former Infosys director Mohandas Pai as advisors and investors.

The addition of Mr. Ratan Tata on our list of advisors, is an endorsement of LetsVenture as a trusted platform for entrepreneurs and investors. Mr. Mohandas Pai has been working with us actively and we continue to look forward to his guidance as we scale the venture. We are excited and privileged to have both of them on our list of advisers,

said CEO Shanti Mohan.

LetsVenture is one of its kind funding platform allowing startups to raise initial funds from investors and had raised undisclosed amount of Series A funding last week from Nandan Nilekani, Kunal Bahl along with participation from Wipro’s Rishad Premji, Mohandas Pai, Freshdesk’s Girish Mathrubootham and Snapdeal co-founder Rohit Bansal, along with some other investors.

It was founded in 2013 and has about 1,200 investors from 20 countries on its platform which has raised $17 million for 53 startups so far.

By allowing investors to utilize their platform to discover and evaluate ventures, as well as giving startups access to organized and focused pools of largely Indian capital, LetsVenture is bringing some much-needed impetus to promising Indian start-ups that need capital, guidance, and strategic advice,

said Mohandas Pai, chairperson of Manipal Global Education Services adding that he was looking forward to working with the team to deliver additional value and help drive the ecosystem towards its full potential. He has already been working with the team of LetsVenture and will now take the role of advisor.

On the other hand, Ratan Tata has also added another upcoming startup in his portfolio having already invested in popular names such as Ola, Xiaomi, Zivame, PayTm to name a few. He is also in the advisory board of IDG Ventures, Kalaari Capital and Jungle Ventures.
