The Leaping Caravan, a Gurgaon-based online food-tech company that claims to re-define the ‘Indian Dhabas’ around the corner, has raised a $150K in funding from a group of angel investors.

With this pile of cash flooding in, the company plans to use it for business expansion, stringent marketing, technology enhancement, manpower acquisition and expanding operations.

Leaping Caravan has been founded and crafted by Megha Tuli who holds a B.Sc degree in International Hospitality Management from Ecole Hotelier de Lausanne (EHL) in Switzerland.

Furthermore, Leaping Caravan also has in vision, to set up another delivery center in Delhi and boost orders to more than 100 orders a day across the city from the current 30 orders. Also, two more kitchens will soon be set up across Delhi that would further strengthen its foundation.

It seems that the platform has been so far successful in impressing corporate players. According to figures, 70% of the orders come through the website in which 60% of the customers are corporate players. This is because Gurgaon majorly comprises of singles working in corporate field.

To further strengthen its foothold, the company plans to raise its pre-series round funding of about $2 Mn from an early stage VC.
