Finally! The days of Virtual Reality gaming are here. Xbox and Oculus have decided to team up and are announcing that the upcoming Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition will support Oculus Rift — Yes, Minecraft!!

According to a blog post from Xbox,

We’re very excited to announce that Minecraft: Windows 10 Edition will support Oculus Rift and will be available for purchase in both the Windows Store and the Oculus Store this spring.

Further adding that,

Windows 10 is the best platform for playing games on the Oculus Rift, and it was clear that one of the biggest games on Windows 10 would be the perfect way to experience virtual reality.

The app which will be available for purchase via the Windows Store as well as Oculus’s own app Store, will hit the shelves starting this spring.

Oculus Rift will allow users to play Minecraft at a level you have never experienced before. You will have the options of enjoying gameplay in Creative or Survival modes — All 3-D of course. The  gameplay, as far as we know it, stays the same and allows you to build, mine and explore a virtual world of your own creation.

However, Microsoft bringing Minecraft to VR isn’t something the Redmond giant has done for the first time. It had previously shown how one could use Microsoft’s own Hololens for some enthralling Minecraft experience, earlier during the Hololens launch.
