While all of those Game of Thrones fanatics had their eyes glued to HBO to get even a scant glimpse of the very first episode of the brand new season which is supposed to be premier tonight, it seems that they will eventually not have to wait that far. In fact, they can have the first four episodes of Game of Thrones Season 5 all at once, right now.
The first four episodes of GOT Season 5 have somehow hit the web much before their scheduled timings and have spread a wave of agitation among fans. Normally, one would have to wait for a full month to get your hands on those 4 episodes.
Since now they are available on web illegally, fans from every coordinate of the globe have flooded the web scrambling for the new episodes and the download meter doesn’t seem to stop anyway.
Game of Thrones has , in fact, earned the title of being the world’s most pirated TV series online for consecutive 3 years. Based on the popularity of today’s leaks, this will be no different in 2015. During the first three hours the episodes were downloaded more than 100,000 times
GOT team made all sort of arrangements to seize piracy and planned to premier Season 5 in 170 countries simultaneously. Well, all of that does not matter any more.
The leaked episodes appear to have been copied from DVDs given to members of the press in advance of their broadcast on HBO. Each of these advance press copies contains a digital watermark that is visible on the screen. These have reportedly been blurred out on the leaked versions now circulating online.
If it had been one episode leak, it would still make a lesser impact. Now that almost half of the season is out, you can either save yourself from spoilers crawling all over the web or just download it illegally.
If you are the one who would rather watch it on HBO, the first episode of Season 5 of Games of Thrones airs in the US on HBO on Sunday 12th April and in the UK on Sky Atlantic on Monday 13th April at 9pm.
Brace Yourselves, Winter is Coming.
