It’s the day when OnePlus One has finally received its first Lollipop based custom operating system and has been termed as “OxygenOS”.
Though the new OS was supposed to appear by last month itself, it had to experience a delay due to few issues including quality control. The new update will allow OnePlus to provide faster, more meaningful updates and a better-integrated range of services for every OnePlus user.
As written in the blog post–
In this environment where everyone is fighting to standout with custom ROMs, we think it’s important to go back to basics. We place things like performance and battery life over gimmicks and bloated features.
The company also noted that they were earlier focused on bundling the basic necessities and provide clean experience to their users. Now the company have shifted their aim towards providing better accessibility and utilities. The new update brings improved file manager, screen gestures and quick settings.
