Microsoft’s first smartphone with the “Micorsoft Lumia” branding, the Lumia 535 has now been launched in India at a price of Rs. 9,199.

The phone featuring 5 inch qHD display sporting a resolution of 540×960 pixels packing in a 220ppi, is powered by Snapdragon 200 quad-core processor clocked at 1.2GHz with 1 GB RAM. It has 8 GB of internal memory but users can expand it up to 128 GB, thanks to the microSD card slot.

On the camera front, it has a 5-megapixel camera at back with LED flash and a 5-megapixel front facing wide angle camera for taking selfies. Microsoft also say that one can do ultra clear skype calls with the front cam. The phone is powered by a Windows Phone 8.1 OS with the new Denim update.

The phone, priced at Rs. 9,199 will be available in stores from 28th November in variety of colors including Orange, Green, Black and White. It will come with few bundled offers such as 2 months of free data connectivity with Vodafone, Jabong.com goodies worth of Rs. 6000 and other offers from Flipkart, PayTM and BoxTV.

It will be interesting to see how Lumia 535 performs against the bunch of Android devices priced similar but offering much better specs compared to it.

[UPDATE] : Microsoft has announced that the Dual SIM version of the phone will also be shipping in India. The company had also announced a single-SIM version of the smartphone.
