Samsung launches Galaxy Grand Prime, the new “Selfie phone”

Samsung Galaxy Grand Prime nicknamed as “selfie phone”, made an entrance to Grand family  with a price tag of Rs. 15,499.

The phone features a 8 mega-pixel rear camera and a 5 mega-pixel front camera with  85-degree wide-angle lens gifting a  wide angle of view and extra room for background and is optimum for group selfies as well. Asim Warsi, vice president (marketing mobile & IT) at Samsung India said:

The Galaxy Grand Prime features an advanced wide angle front camera best-suited to capture group images. With the launch of this power packed smartphone, we are further strengthening our Grand portfolio.

Powered by a 1.2GHz quad-core processor and 1GB RAM, the phone has  5-inch TFT screen with QHD (960 x 540 pixels) resolution. It possesses 8 GB of  internal storage with microSD card support (up to 64GB).

Connectivity options in Galaxy Grand Prime include 2G, 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth 4.0 and microUSB 2.0. It includes a 2600mAh battery that is claimed by Samsung to offer up to 10 hours of video playback and 17 hours of talk time. The device is available in white and grey colours.
