People who were hoping for a revival of the iPad Mini are in for some major disappointment. Here at its WWDC Keynote, Apple has announced iPad updates and while both the 9.7 and the 12.9-inch models are right up there, the iPad Mini is sadly lacking, and the Mini 4 continues to remain the last device to come out from the series.

Even from the perspective of pricing, there are hardly going to be any new buyers. If you want a cheaper device, Apple has given you the option to pick up a new, 9.7-inch iPad as compared to the $399 Mini 4. And if you want to shell out more money, there are other iPads and of course, the iPhone 7.

Times have certainly changed from 2012, when the iPad Mini first came into existence. Then, phones were very small while proper iPads were huge, bulky things that no one wanted to lug around. Now though, the iPads have grown lighter even as phones have become larger. Needless to say, interest in the Mini has quickly waned.

With today’s update, Apple seems to be sending a clear signal out there. The Mini is going the way of the dodo, and here are all the options you have on the table.
