call of duty

So far, Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered has proven itself to be the much awaited nostalgic trip down war memory lane for a lot of long-time fans of the series. And the game, despite its content being somewhat more limited than it originally was (the game only had a small portion of the maps that the original game had). Raven Software is planning to make up to its players with an upcoming free update,  which’ll expand the current map selection significantly. Not like they’re doing us any favour by releasing now what the game was always supposed to have.

Rolling out as portion of an upcoming free update to every Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered player by December 13, is a pack of six classic maps from the original game. These new battlefields include the beloved Bloc, Countdown, Pipeline, Showdown, Strike, and Wet Work. A fresh new preview of the update from the official Call of Duty channel shows off these maps in the midst of action along with some other fascinating goodies.

On an interesting side note, the soon-to-release free update does not seem to include the XM-LAR weapon which was very blatantly hinted at just last month as a part of multiple speculations. Players initially discovered this weapon after doodling around with some program files behind the scenes, quickly becoming aware that the gun is actually fully functional with a working kill feed and all.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered still remains as a bundled exclusive for all of those who buy either the Legacy, Digital Deluxe, or Legacy Pro editions for the new Call of Duty: Infinite Warfare.

Call of Duty: Modern Warfare Remastered is available right now for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC as a pack in bonus.
