Tech behemoth HCL has been named as one of the global leaders for its Internet of Things (IoT) services. The recognition comes after a global vendor survey, which saw HCL’s iOT services rated very highly.
The survey was conducted by IDC MarketScape and involved data from 15 vendors from the global IoT professional services market. The results of the survey were based on a set of parameters expected to be most conducive to success in providing IoT professional services. The successful provision of services and their usefulness over both the short term and the long term were considered.
HCL has been one of the most active Indian companies in the iOT sector. Apart from having its own iOT arm, the company also collaborates with various tech behemoths, to further the work being done in the field. Earlier this year for example, it started an iOT incubator in association with Microsoft. The company also leverages its partnerships with Intel and IBM to offer business and strategy driven iOT solutions to its customers.
As per the IDC report,
IoT WoRKS’ offers end-to-end IoT services across the entire lifecycle of an IoT project which are adaptable based on where the customers are on their IoT journey.
Which has led to its recognition by IDC MarketScape. This isn’t IoT WoRKS first recognition however, and the HCL division has previously won international acclaim as well.
Speaking on the topic, Sukamal Banerjee, Executive Vice President and Global Head (IoT WoRKS), HCL Technologies, said:
