DoSelect, a human resource technology startup has today announced that it has raised an undisclosed amount in its seed funding round. The fresh capital was raised from 3one4 Capital, a family fund of TV Mohandas Pai. Also, the round saw participation of Mohit Saxena, co-founder, InMobi, on behalf of Mumbai Angels. Other investors who took part in the round include Aarin Capital, Singapore Angel Network and a group of individuals.

Commenting on the investment, Pranav Pai, a founding partner at 3one4 Capital said,

DoSelect has built a technical assessment platform that helps companies make the best hiring decisions based on real skills and experience. Candidates will also have better resources to prepare for these interviews by using the platform.

With the new cash infusion, the company will now spend money to scale its current traction areas through targeted marketing and sales funnels. DoSelect also plans to upgrade it’s assessment gear with Automated Android assessments this year which will be a revolutionary step towards how you test an Android developer. This will help a recruiter analyze the core competencies and proficiency of a mobile developer without much hassle

DoSelect was founded Iliyas Shirol, Rohit Tirkey, and Sanket Saurav in 2015. Saurav and Tirkey are alumni of NIT Jamshedpur, while Shirol graduated from Visvesvaraya Technological University. The company has a team of twelve people.

The platform offers a collaborative and technology-independent hiring tool for companies to hire the right kind of talent. It provides tools such as online hackathons to evaluate skills in web technologies, databases, UI/UX and Big Data.

Commenting on the development, Rohit Tirkey, co-founder of DoSelect said,

We are trying to shift the current technical measurement landscape. 3one4 Capital with its poignant HR insights and a rigorous product + tech. world view brings much value to our product road-map. The added belief of ecosystem experts like Mohit Saxena and Mumbai Angels validates our track.

It recently forayed into the B2C segment with the launch of ‘DoSelect For Developers’. It aims to make developers, students, and learners be industry ready. The platform provides existing and budding developers a place to solve interesting problems on over 25 programming languages.

The HR tech segment has generated a lot of investors interest lately. Recently, Zwayam, an online recruitment platform targeting small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), raised seed funding round. Also, Greytip Software, a cloud-based HR and payroll management solutions to SMEs, raised its Series B round of funding. DoSelect also competes against the likes of HackRank, which has so far raised more than $24 million.
