Google gave us techies a first glimpse to its comfy, futuristic Daydream VR headset at the Pixel launch event earlier this month. This VR headset christened ‘Daydream View’ is a successor to the affordable Google Cardboard, and the good news is that it is now available for pre-order at just $79.

The company announced via Twitter that pre-orders for its next-gen. VR headset are now live on the madebygoogle website. But the offer has only been opened for customers in the U.S, United Kingdom and Germany for the time being. The headset is slated to ship sometime in November.

The Daydream View is a light-weight, simple VR headset designed in-house by Google that will work all Daydream-ready smartphones. It is based off the guidelines shown-off by the company during the I/O devcon back in May. This headset uses soft microfiber fabric to give you a sung fitting for long intervals and will be available in three beautiful colors — Snow, Slate & Crimson.

With the headset also comes a handy controller required to navigate the interface and play VR games that put you at the center of action. This single-handed controller, which can be placed within the headset, will allow you to wield a sword, fire missiles, swing a bat or even race Luigi without hiccups.

The VR headset will also bring some magic into our mugglish, mundane lifes in collaboration with Warner Bro’s Harry Potter/Fantastic Beasts series. So get ready to use your controllers as a magic wand..!

Also announced today, Google has begun selling the 4K-ready streaming device ‘Chromecast Ultra’ on the Store for a meager $69. It is one of the cheapest 4K streaming devices available on the market, and adds support for HDR and Dolby Vision. This device is 1.8 times faster than the previous model and features an improved Wi-Fi connectivity module. These will also ship sometime next month.
