Today, we finally know. Rockstar has officially confirmed the upcoming Red Dead Redemption 2 with a brand new poster. In another tweet, it not only announced a release window for the complete game but also a trailer release day along with the name. Too much to take it all at once huh? deep breaths!

Bask in the glory of what is the official poster of Red Dead Redemption 2!

As the poster suggests, you can expect to take over the wild west sometime towards the end of next year. Yeah i know, there’s a long wait between now and then, but on the bright side, the trailer releases in just a couple of days and it’s safe to say, you will be left in awe.

With this announcement, Rockstar Games have put themselves in a position where they have some massive expectations to live upto. Cause like Uncle Ben said, with great power, comes great responsibility. The sequel would require to do justice to the legacy of the Red Dead name.

In the official press release on its website, Rockstar Games says:

The game will be an epic tale of life in America’s unforgiving heartland, the game’s vast and atmospheric world will also provide the foundation for a brand new online multiplayer experience.

The aforementioned multiplayer experience will most probably be Red Dead Online, the name of which appeared to leak this morning. It so far lists only Xbox One and PS4 as the upcoming game’s intended formats, which would suggest a very similar release model to their previous title, Grand Theft Auto V, where the official PC version was launched over a year after its console counterpart.
