Smartwatch fans, Apple has finally made an update to the Watch Nike+ section of its website. We now have a release date for the hyped about Nike+ smartwatch, and it is October 28 folks. The watch, which is the result of a collaboration between the tech behemoth and Nike, was announced at the company’s iPhone event back in September. However, no word was offered on an official release date — Until now.
The watch combines all that is good in Apple’s premium range of smartwatches with smart wear that is tailor made for sports. The device comes with a brand new aluminum casing a perforated band that’s breathable as well as light. Along with Apple’s propieratory platform, the Watch Nike+ also packs several software, that have been custom made by Nike.
Here is how the company website sums up the Nike+ watch.
Pure and simple fun. Apple Watch Nike+ is the latest in a long-running partnership between two of the world’s most innovative brands. From leading-edge comfort to the way it connects you to your running buddies through the Nike+ Run Club, it’s your perfect running partner — on your wrist.
The watch also has other cool add ons like built-in GPS to track your pace, distance, and route, brighter displays and a waterproof body for those post workout showers. Another distinctive point is the band, which has been manufactured using a durable, lightweight fluoroelastomer — that was also deployed in the original Apple Watch Sport Band.
So basically, if you are looking for something that packs the punch of Apple Watches and is also lightweight and durable, Nike+ is the thing. And if you like running and are willing to compromise on the subtle, rather more professional look offered by the original Watch 2, Apple Watch Nike+ is just the thing for you.
