Samsung has today announced the availability of its new range of wearable devices — Samsung Gear Fit 2 and Gear IconX in India. Both the devices, Gear Fit 2 and IconX were launched around three months ago.

The devices will be available on Flipkart and are currently available for pre-order. The Samsung Gear IconX is priced at ₹13,490, while the Samsung Gear Fit 2 costs ₹13,990.

Samsung’s Gear Fit 2 is a smart wearable fitness tracking device. While the company already has several devices in this segment, the Fit 2 brings significant improvements to its previous iterations.

It comes with an upgraded 1.5-inch Super AMOLED display screen, which is much more curved, and provides comfortable wearing experience by conforming to your wrist.

As per the company, the Gear Fit 2 can sustain almost three to four days of typical usage on a single charge of battery and the large display lets you receive and respond to notifications, calls, texts through your wrist.

For the features list, you get a built-in heart-rate monitor, auto multi-sport and sleep tracking. And as Samsung puts it, the Fit 2 has removed the need for a start button. It comes with a GPS, so users can track their route even when not tethered to a smartphone. It has 4GB of built-in storage to store music. As per the company, the storage can hold up to 1,000 tracks.

The Samsung IconX is a set of wireless headphones. There are no wires at all — not even the ones usually found connecting the left and right buds together. It comes with separate radios and batteries for each earplug.

It also comes with a built-in heart-rate monitoring, along with distance and speed tracking. According to Samsung, the buds can play music for around an hour and a half. For charging, you just have to place both the buds in the wireless charging case.

Commenting on the launch, Mr. Adarsh K Menon, VP – Electronics at Flipkart, said,

We are excited to be the online platform for Samsung wearables and are certain that these products will be positively received by consumers. We look forward to continuing this partnership and focus on driving our efforts to provide our customers with a fulfilling shopping experience.
