The OnePlus 3 was the first handset from the smartphone maker to have deviated from the company’s invite system. The system, while a bit hard to digest, did a great job at controlling the supply and gauging the demands.

However, with that out of the picture, OnePlus has now ended up in a tangle. Apparently, the company is overwhelmed by the demand and so it will be shortly halting sales in European countries for four days.

The company says that sales in mainland Europe have been way better than what they expected. This has led to drying up of stock, a first for the company. Keeping this in mind, the Chinese firm has decided to pause sales in these countries to give the inventory time to replenish. The timeframe when you won’t be able to buy the OnePlus 3 on oneplus.net  is from August 9th 0:00 (CEST) until September 12th 23:59 (CEST).

The countries that will be affected by this halt are: Austria, Belgium, Bulgaria, Croatia, Cyprus, Czech Republic, Estonia, France, Greece, Hungary, Ireland, Italy, Latvia, Lithuania, Luxembourg, Malta, Netherlands, Poland, Portugal, Romania, Slovakia, Slovenia and Spain. According to co-founder Carl Pei, sales in Hong Kong will also be halted.

This means that if you order a OnePlus 3 before the 9th of this month, you will not face an issue. But in case you decide to buy within the specified time-gap, you will be redirected toward a mailing list for updates.

Pei writes,

“We are working hard to secure more stock and fire up more production lines so that we can fulfill our goal of putting premium products into the hands of as many people as possible. With this note I wanted to give customers in affected regions enough advance notice to be able to purchase a OnePlus 3. If you’re planning to purchase but can’t do it before we pause sales, we’ll be offering an in-stock notification service where you can sign up with your email address to be notified when we’re back in stock.”
