FreeCharge is today announcing a fresh partnership with ePaisa to give customers easy payment options through the newly launched FreeCharge wallet.

This will help users to use its services with a varied set of offline merchants across retail, food & beverages, wellness, travel and entertainment sector. FreeCharge aims to be the payment OS of the country. The company’s goal is to create an ecosystem for digital payments.

In order to create such ecosystem, FreeCharge is partnering with a number of players to enable many use cases both offline and online. It hopes that this partnership of the company with ePaisa would enable digital payments at thousands of offline merchants.

Customers paying through the FreeCharge wallet will also be able to avail exciting offers including cash-backs and additional discounts on spends at the registered merchants. In order to boost the digital payments adoption, FreeCharge will also run incentives with individual merchants that come on board with ePaisa.

The company claims that over 99% of the transactions on the platform are completed in less than 10 seconds. Using company’s patented technology ‘On-The-Go-Pin’, customers can complete transactions in the most secure yet swift manner.

Commenting on the partnership, Mr. Govind Rajan, Chief Operating Officer, FreeCharge said,

In a released statement, the company says that they are dealing with millennials who are always on the go, needs quick turnaround and are reluctant to use cards for small ticket transactions. The company hopes that this ePaisa partnership will eliminate the hassle of carrying a card or cash for its users.
