Sanjeev Mohanty, who has over 20 years of experience in the field of fashion, has now taken over the role of Chief Executive Officer and Managing Director of one of the largest online fashion retailer – Jabong.

Last month, the company announced Sanjeev Mohanty as its new CEO. Till now, the company was working under interim CEO (GFG CFO) Nils Chrestin for over more than two month.

As per the company’s release, Sanjeev took the responsibilities on December 7th, when he was introduced to all the leading members of the company.

Having more than 20 years of experience in fashion and retail, he has worked with fashion brands such as Benetton India, Madura Garments, SF Jeans and Levi Strauss. He holds a Master’s degree in Apparel Marketing & Merchandising, Fashion & Retail Marketing from National Institute of Fashion Technology (NIFT).

Commenting about this new appointment, Mr. Romain Voog, CEO of Global Fashion Group (GFG), which is the parent company of Jabong, said,

Speaking about his new role, Mr Mohanty said,

Earlier, the company hired former Gaana.com’s product head Saurabh Goel as Chief Product Officer; Sumit Jain, former CTO of HT Media Ltd’s digital business, as the Chief Technology Officer; and Saurabh Srivastava from MobiKwik as the Chief Marketing Officer.

Jabong is a part of Global Fashion Group (GFG) which operates across four continents and 28 countries. It focuses on emerging markets and targets EUR 300 billion fashion market and over 2.5 billion people who rapidly continue to move online and purchase via e-commerce.
