As announced by Sony earlier, it is bringing its live streaming video service Playstation Vue into the US territory with an initial launch in New York, Chicago and Philadelphia.
PlayStation Vue is a live TV service with cloud-based DVR and the ability to rewind up to three days on networks. The on-demand and live-streaming video service will be available at $49.99-$69.99. If you happen to choose the $69.99 package, you will get an elite bundle with subscriptions from all the available channels. You can sign up for a month, cancel and sign up again a few months later in case if you plan to go out for some reason.
To pick up the ever rising rhythm and meet user demands, Sony has bundled channels that include Fox, ABC, NBC Universal networks, Fox News networks, Scripps Networks Interactive (which includes HGTV, Food Network, Travel Channel and others), Turner networks (including Cartoon Network, TBS, TNT, CNN and others), Viacom networks (including MTV, VH1, BET, Nickelodeon, Comedy Central and others).
The condition to be noted is that it needs a minimum 5Mbps connection to bring TV into homes that have a PS3 or PS4. A wider expansion appears to be in Sony’s to do list and an iPad version of the service is in the works.
