Bose is undoubtedly riding the crest of the wave of popularity when it comes to its hardware products, however, the company seems to be discontented with its present offerings and is now stepping into the content business. In a job posting spotted by Hypebot, the company is seeking for a Senior User Experience Designer to work on prototyping Bose’s next generation streaming music platform and ecosystem of products.
Bose’s new initiative of providing streaming service puts it straight into the battle ground against Apple’s Beats audio which also provides service of the exact same genre. Recently, Bose’s products made an appearance back on Apple’s online stores, which was earlier pulled off due to the intense on-going rivalry between Bose and Beats audio.
The company also filed a lawsuit accusing Beats Electronics over infringing on several patents related to noise cancellation and other audio technologies with its Beats Studio and Studio Wireless headphones.
Returning of Bose’s products on the shelves of Apple’s store was considered to be an outcome of the settlement between the two parties. However, Bose’s new move puts us in a state of dubiousness and might be a step towards a cut-throat war.
