Android 5.0 Lollipop, after hitting a few minor roadblocks, is all set to show up on the Google Play edition of HTC One M8 and HTC One M7.

The HTC One M8 (Google Play edition) was initially scheduled for the update to Android 5.0 Lollipop on Friday November 21st and was delayed due to pending approval from Google.

Yesterday, HTC Product Vice President, Mo Versi tweeted solacing HTC One M8 and M7 holders that the updates are in Google’s QA lab and will probably be technically approved by the end of Monday.

The new leaks show how HTC has incorporated the cleaner, flatter look of Android 5.0 into its own Sense.  The HTC Sense 7 UI is expected to have almost the same style and icons as the Sense 6 but with a little Material touch. Software keys background will change its color according to the App accent color. The quick settings may have little more greyness with some extra spacing between the icons.

After making its way through the last phase, the new updates will be available for downloading over the air. This approval should happen soon enough and we’ll keep you posted.
