It’s official, the nostalgia to be felt by every Nokia fan out there is official. Microsoft has just announced the very first Microsoft Lumia, thus officially dropping off the Nokia brand name, from its Windows Phone OS based devices.

There’s nothing much to the device though, except from the distinction of being the first Microsoft Lumia device ever built. Specifications are no way near to the current market flagships, thus indicating Microsoft’s plans of keeping focus towards the emerging markets, exactly what Nokia used to believe in (looks like change in name hasn’t resulted in change of heart ).

The device has 1 GB of RAM, powered by an almost out-dated 1.2 Ghz Dual core Snapdragon processor. The device offers a minimalistic 8 GB of internal storage, which can be further expanded to 128 GB via an external microSD.

The phone, as marketed by Microsoft, is clearly for the masses. Microsoft calls it a 5 x 5 x 5 phone, which means, it has a 5 inch touchscreen, a 5 megapixel rear snapper and free integrated Microsoft experiences (such as Skype and OneNote) to more people at an affordable price.

Lumia 535 comes in two flavors: 3G Single SIM, or 3G Smart Dual SIM, both loaded with Windows Phone 8.1 and the Lumia Denim Update right out of the box.

Well, here comes the most surprising part, Lumia 535 3G Single SIM and Lumia 535 3G Dual SIM will be available from November at an estimated RRP of 110 EUR before taxes and subsidies with sales starting in China, Hong Kong and Bangladesh, with other countries to follow. I seriously do not get this, Bangladesh ? ??.  And yea, this one is for Microsoft,…NO HIGH FIVES for this device. (Check out the lumia blog and you would understand what I meant to say)
