Samsung unveiled two new all-metal trendy smartphones namely Galaxy A3 and Galaxy A5. These mid-range smartphones being Samsung’s thinnest smartphones up to date, are designed in order to compete with the world’s fastest growing smartphone manufacturer, Xiaomi.

Galaxy A3 and A5 are the first Samsung’s smartphones to feature a full-metal body and might create a sensation among ‘all-metal’ lovers which is exactly what Samsung intends to do. Above all, the new handsets are affordable unlike Samusng’s latest flagships. Xiaomi offers handsets with high specifications and at a very minimal price conferring it an advantage to rule the Chinese mobile market and other international markets too.

The news of the new handsets launch comes a day after Samsung reported its worst quarterly operating profit in more than three years. Earnings from its handset division slumped 73.9% from a year earlier. Continuing the production of high-priced flagship handsets will not be affordable to people with limited budget drifting them to consider other low-priced smartphones in market with same specifications.

Galaxy A3 and A5 have a few fun new camera features dedicated to selfies.Samsung has also added adjustable audio that increases volume when it detects competing background noise. Another feature, called Wise Voice, helps keep volume levels constant for the receiver even if you’re holding the phone away from your face.

In terms of color, both the new handsets will be available in six shades that includes black, silver, white, gold, blossom pink and light blue. The Galaxy A3 and A5 will launch in Asia first in November (including China), followed by rest of the world. Pricing and other distribution information has not been disclosed yet.
