India-based coupons site, PriceBurp.com has raised an amount, close to $100K from Netherlands based Angel Investors, we’ve learned. The investment has been raised from Bright Ventures B.V, an early stage investment company from Netherlands.

Although the exact amount of investment is still unknown, but Tech-Portal has learned that the amount is somewhere near $100K. The investment will be used to facilitate tech development and hire competent workforce.

Priceburp.com is a  coupon based website that offers discount coupons, coupon codes, promotional offers and more, for a wide range of products from online stores in India. It faces stiff competition from over 200 similar websites, currently present in India’s start-up ecosystem.

Priceburp has targeted to grow its store partners to 2500+ stores by November 2014 and become the largest coupon site in India. As per company claims, it is already adding close to 1500+ coupons every week, for the 850+ stores, it has partnered with at present.

We’ve contacted PriceBurp.com for comments, and will update you as soon as we receive any.

  • Good to see Indian coupon sites getting funds to grow. It long way to reach what American coupon site have achieved. Coupon website like retailmenot.com are listed in stock exchanges and immensely popular. Indian coupons market is still in infant stage and alot of opportunity exist for all coupon site.
