Sources at Digitimes, have reported that Taiwan Semiconductor Manufacturing Company (TSMC) has reportedly landed orders for Apple’s next generation iPad Air 2. Apple is expected to unveil the same in tomorrow’s event.

The A8x chip, which has been featuring repeatedly in various leaks, is being manufactured by TSMC under the same 20nm fabrication process, as the A8 chip.

Apart from this, TSMC is also producing a number of other peripheral chips for the iPhone 6 devices, including Dialog’s power management (PWM) ICs, Qualcomm’s 4G baseband chips, Synaptics’ LCD driver ICs, InvenSense’s 6-axis gyroscopes, and AhthenTec’s fingerprint sensors.

Apple is expected to launch the next gen iPad Air 2 in an event tomorrow, which will be blogging LIVE ! So, Stay Tuned.
