Google today announced that it has acquired opinion poll service provider, Polar, for an undisclosed amount. This acquisition has been specifically made for Google+

Polar is is a service which let’s user create beautiful and highly graphic intensive polls. It can be used by individuals and is a common feature on major technology blogs around the world. Polar claims that it has served over 1.1 billion polls in past eight months, with over a million active voters.

The company, before this acquisition had raised close to $1.7 million in funding.
