Just as expected, Sony launched its new tablet , the Z3 Compact. This is one of the slimmest tablet of approx 6.4mm and the lightest at about 0.6 lbs 8-inch tablet.

The Xperia Z3 Compact tablet is more powerful than its predecessor,Xperia Z2 , as this new one features a 2.5GHz Snapdragon 801 processor with 3GB of RAM. It will feature 8.1MP rear Camera and 2.2MP front one.

The display is at 1080p, which is fine enough for a tablet. According to Sony the battery should last 13 hours of non stop video playback. This is also the first tablet of Sony which will have PlayStation 4 remote play which allows the user to control your game console from the tablet and also use it as the primary screen if the TV in your home is not available.

Sony did not reveal much about the tablets at the launch, but expect the regular two models, one with Wi-Fi, and one without Wi-fi.
