A couple of hours back, <Re/code> reported that Apple is confirmed to hold iPhone’s lanch event on September 9. The news was confirmed by <Re/code>’s John Paczkowski.

Tech Portal had earlier reported that Apple is planning a mid-September launch event. Now, it has been confirmed that iPhone 6 will be launched in an event on September 9.The date holds a numerological significance for Apple, and hence has been chosen.

Paczkowski further added and confirmed that iPhone will come in two screen sizes, and that, they will run on speedy A8 processors.

These next generation iPhones will have significant design changes, than their predecessors. Apart from having a larger screen size, they will also be thinner. Many leaks have already surfaced regarding “significant” hardware placement changes in the next generation iPhones.

Also, the larger version, will get a full Sapphire display while the smaller one may get it only on the camera lens and the front button.
