LGG3

Bringing in yet another worry for the already doomed S5, LG today launched the G3 in India. Along with the S5, it will also rival HTC’s flagship, the HTC One M8.The G3 has been launched in two variants, a ₹ 47,990 priced 16 GB model, and a ₹ 50,990 priced, 32 GB model. Along with this, LG is also offering a one-time screen replacement offer worth ₹ 6,500 and a Quick Circle case free with the smartphone. Buyers also get a discount of ₹ 5,000 on the Android Wear-powered G Watch.

Both the variants come with a 5.5 inch touch screen display. The phone flaunts a whopping 2560 x 1440 resolution with a seriously mind blowing pixel density of 534 PPI. This is, by far, the highest in any of the flagship phones launched till date.

The phone is powered by 2.5GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon 801 quad-core processor and will be available in 16 and 32GB internal storage versions with 2GB and 3GB RAM, respectively. Both models support up to 128GB microSD cards.

As for the camera, it has a 13 mega pixels rear snapper, which features LG’s Optical Image Stabilisation + (OIS+). A laser beam measures the distance between the subject and the phone, thus providing clinical precision during clicks.

As far as the design factor is concerned, we will rate it better than both the S5 ( obviously ), and the HTC One (M8). G3 offers good grip, and the matte finish with a minimalistic back design, gives a premium feel to the phone.

G3 is powered by Android 4.4.4 Kitkat, mostly featuring the stock interface, apart from certain circular icons, here and there. Stay tuned for a complete review of the LG G3.
