apple3Citing foreign exchange rate hikes as one of the major concerns, Apple is all set to raise the price of its apps on iOS market in India, Australia, Indonesia, Turkey and South Africa.

While it also decreases the prices of the apps in countries like New Zeeland. The email states, “Additionally, retail prices for Israeli New Shekels and some price tiers for the New Zeleand Dollar will be decreased. Price adjustments on the App Store are made periodically due to changes in foreign exchange rates.

According to Techcrunch, “Despite Apple’s statement that the price hikes are due to forex rates, apps are becoming an increasingly key part of the company’s business as it competes against Google Play.”

Sorry, but this not an April fool joke.
